Affordable unfurnished house for rent in Chapala downtown, located at just two blocks from the pier of Chapala (Restaurants area) and the Cristiania park where you can play tennis and volley with many expats daily from 6 AM to 7 pm.
The house is remodeled, close to everything including restaurants, hospitals, supermarkets, parks etc. A car is not needed in this house, you can take the bus at 4 blocks. It has a lot of living space, two patios with a tangerine tree, two bathrooms (One is not remodeled).
Address: Guerrero 167 B, Chapala Downtown, Jalisco, Mexico (Its the corner house of Degollado and Guerrero).
The town of Chapala is the largest municipality in the area. It has a better defined commercial core compared to Ajijic. It is the commercial center, and has several banks and plenty of stores.
Prices are generally lower than around Ajijic, but there are not as many upscale or American style housing developments as there are in Ajijic.
The foreign population here is mostly Americans, then Canadians. Between Chapala and Ajijic, the American and Canadian population is about even.
Services: water, sewer, power, telephone, frequent buses (including the main terminal for buses from Guadalajara).
